WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

Our program is designed for all abilities and we love beginners! You do not need to come with any experience in the gym, just be ready to work hard!

Fully commit to the entire length of the program. There will be difficult workouts and challenges. We want participants who will see it through to the end!

Be disciplined enough to apply our nutrition plan. The program does not work without your consistency and efforts. You WILL see results as long as you follow the plan.

Understand that all transformations are welcome. This challenge won't be solely about losing weight, and every may come with a different goal in mind. That's what makes the class unique!

Be willing to take before and after pictures so you're able to track your progress. Results don't only come from a scale, being able to SEE them will help keep you motivated. 

Have respect for your fellow class members, coaches, and the rules of the gym and come to each class with a positive attitude.

Victor Sykes - Founder

The year was 1992. I was 17 when I witnessed my father die from colon cancer. He was only 36.

After his death, well-intentioned family and friends repeatedly expressed their concern that cancer might be hereditary and that I should ensure to undergo regular preventive check-ups as I aged.

I appreciated their concern and advice, but I didn't believe that cancer "ran" in our family.

As far as I knew, no one on either side of our family had ever had cancer.

In my mind, it was evident that he developed cancer due to his lifestyle. He drank at least a case of beer every day for as long as I could remember. He smoked daily, rarely ate fruits or vegetables, and often only had one fatty meal a day. Additionally, he had poor stress management skills and almost never exercised.

In 1992, the world was very different. People weren't as health-conscious, and most had no idea how their lifestyle affected their health.

At that time, most people accepted illness as fate, genetic or just bad luck.

As for me, I thought there was more to it with my dad.

I believed that his development of cancer could have more to do with his lifestyle than his genetics.

So, I began to research what truly caused diseases.

I found several documents that had demonstrated that developing diseases can be and often is directly correlated with lifestyle.

At 17, this powerful information gave me purpose.

I felt the obligation to help prevent families from suffering like mine.

A specific piece of information led me straight to the health and fitness industry.

That information was that disease doesn't thrive well in alkaline and lean environments.

This essentially means that if people ate better and added more lean body mass, they would drastically decrease the chances of developing diseases compared to living as my father did.

So, that's where my mission began. I wanted to learn everything I could about living a healthy lifestyle, and I wanted to share that information with anyone willing to listen.

This eventually led me to establish Slim Body Bootcamp, where I could train, advise, and encourage multiple people at once on how to build muscle, lose fat, and maintain a healthy lifestyle.

They say if you do what you love, you'll never work a day in your life.

Well, I have truly been blessed to discover that I love sharing my knowledge with people and guiding them on their path so they can reap all the benefits that living a healthy lifestyle offers.

WHY DO WE DO THIS?

The Best Self Challenge was created to make Functional Training accessible to a larger population. We have personally experienced the life-changing power of functional fitness and wanted to find a way for others to connect as well. We know it can be scary or intimidating to come into the gym on your own, which is why the group process is so powerful! Everyone will benefit from the workouts if they just commit and engage, and now they can do that in a safe and friendly setting.

What we want is to find individuals who are ready to jump in, work hard, and embrace the program with an open mind and attitude. Functional Training CAN transform your life, and we are looking for individuals who will represent the program by putting their best foot forward.
